FAQ's
Please take some time to look over the following FAQ's. Thank you!
1. How many bedrooms are your apartments? We have studio, 2, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments.
2. How big are your apartments? Our apartments are usually considerably larger than the competition. Our common rooms and bedrooms are usually very large. Our larger apartments are approximately 1500 square feet.
3. How much is the rent? Rent ranges from $750-$995 per occupant (bedroom) per month (subject to change).
4. How much is the deposit? Deposit presently $250-$500 per occupant (subject to change).
5. How much is the application fee? $150 per occupant (subject to change).
6. What amenities are included in the rent? Spectrum Cable Streaming, 400 Mbps internet, Trash Service, Parking (some on-street and some off-street).
7. When is the move in date? August 5-15 annually is typical. You must communicate with us when you need or desire to move in and we will try to accommodate.
8. When is the move out date? July 15- August 1 annually is typical. You must communicate with us when you need or desire to move out and we will try to accommodate.
9. Do the apartments come furnished? They come with kitchen appliances and there are washer and dryers in the building Laundry Room.
10. How long are the leases? 12 months only. We do not offer a 6-month lease. Leases run concurrent with the USC Student calendar.
11. How soon before classes start can we secure a lease? We always start pre-leasing in September a full 11 months before classes begin.
12. Do you rent single bedrooms? We don’t routinely but on occasion in the past we have so just ask! Also, we usually will have one or two apartments looking for roommates and we try to help place people with them when we can so again, just ask!
13. Are pets allowed? Cats only with approval and Pet Fee payment.
14. Are the apartments convenient to USC classes? There is no other apartment complex closer! Living at Singley Apartments you can walk to all classes and can save the windshield time and expense of driving.
15. Are the apartments on the USC Shuttle Bus line? Yes
16. Are we allowed to transfer the lease to our friends when we move out? Not without prior approval but usually this can be arranged. Just communicate with us as soon as possible about what you are wanting to accomplish. Don’t wait until the last minute as we will probably already have your apartment rented out to someone else coming to USC in the fall.
17. Can we see an apartment before signing the lease? Certainly. Just contact us about when our next Open House tour is going to happen. Only in town for a short while? Let us know and we will try to accommodate!
18. Who must sign the lease? Due to income credit requirements usually parents must be the primary lessor with students as the occupant only. There are some exceptions so check with us if you have higher than average student income and credit.
19. Can we find you on social media? Yes, we are on Facebook and Instagram @ Singley Apartments on University of SC Campus.
20. What separates you from the other student housing that is available? First, the value that we offer is superior to our competition. You simply can not find rent this cheap for decent living this proximal to campus anywhere else! Second, we are a small family run business, so we can be more flexible with you to better serve your needs. We are not a large blind corporation. We care about the building and our tenants! Third, we are a USC family with multiple graduates of the University in our family. We love USC and its students!

21. Is subleasing possible? Sub-leasing may be allowed but only with manager written approval and subleasing will apply.
22. Is there a cleaning or damage fee assessed prior to moving out? The unit must be left in the condition that it was received. We document conditions carefully with pictures and if the unit is left dirty or damaged fees will be charged.
